The very first social interaction that a child develops during his lifetime is with his/her parents who are the primary caretakers. Apart from being the first teachers for their children, Parents are emotional anchors to whom child turns to whenever in trouble or any confusion. We therefore seek the parents’ equal contribution by means of their cooperation and support to help us build a strong foundation for the children.
An integrated approach of learning is followed, wherein parents are proactively involved in the learning process of the child even at home. We maintain an open channel of communication with the parents keeping them informed at all times regarding the child’s performance in the class. This encourages greater parental involvement in the child’s educational journey and also facilitates easier reporting of the child’s progress.
Parent Orientation
What will my child do in the class? What all he/she will be taught? What do we need to do as parents? Many such questions are answered and parents’ anxiety is put at rest during the Orientation Program. This program helps to familiarize the parents with the school’s curriculum, extracurricular activities and other guidelines.
Open House
We believe that the perfect communication is always a two-way process. Regular Parent-Teacher Meetings are held wherein parents are updated about their child’s progress. In these meetings, parents also get the chance to share their views and observations related to their child’s overall development. Apart from this , Parents can meet the respective teacher (with prior appointment ) between 1pm- 2pm on all working days or on any of the working Saturday
Parent Workshops
Parenting workshops are held at regular intervals and are conducted by eminent child psychologists to make the parents aware about how to spend quality time with children, effective discipline techniques, the power of encouragement etc.
Special Days
Parents Day Out – How about presenting a stage performance in your child’s school? While the moment fills the child’s heart with immense joy, it also helps strengthen the bond between the child and his/her parents and creates sweet memories to cherish throughout their lifetimes.
Parent Orientation
Special assemblies are regularly conducted to celebrate festivals and monthly concepts. During theses assemblies a number of songs , rhymes and dances are performed. On certain special days, Parents are also invited and encouraged to perform along with teachers for the students.
Story Telling Sessions – Books and stories fill the child’s heart with pure joy and magic hence storytelling is an integral part of the school’s curriculum. These sessions are made more interactive when we invite the entire family along with the grandparents for story telling sessions. They are provided with the necessary resources to narrate stories to the little ones creatively. This is not only a delightful experience for teachers and children but also the parents get to spend valuable time with their child. During these sessions parents also learn how to make the story time activity more exciting for their little ones.
Birthday Celebrations –The child’s parents and family are invited and all classmates make it a special day for the birthday child by singing songs. Special games and activities are planned by the class teachers to make it a joyful experience for all.
Exhibitions & Projects: In order to enhance the learning and to keep the parents abreast with the monthly concepts done in the classroom, at the end of every month, a project is displayed and parents are invited to view the exhibits and artwork made by the children.
Volunteer Mother Program – Under this program , mothers who are willing to be part of the school’s class activities on special occasions such as Grandparents days , festival celebrations , presentations and other annual cultural programs are invited to help out the facilitators with the preparations. We are proud to have a proactive volunteer mother community who delightfully takes part in all the events to turn them into great success.
